Author

Having worked as both a teacher and school Guidance Officer for over 20 years, I have seen first-hand the joy that books bring to children and the powerful conversations they can inspire.

While working as a School Counsellor in the United States, I began using Australian animals to teach social and emotional learning. The children connected so strongly with the characters that I decided to transform those lessons into children's stories.

My professional experience gives me insight into many of the challenges children face and the skills that help them thrive. Through engaging Australian animal characters, my stories explore themes including emotions, emotional regulation, friendship, kindness, cooperation, diversity, growth mindset, resilience and careers.
