Clients are supported for changes in career direction, career development, career assessments, study planning, options and pathways, applying to QTAC, career planning in high school. General counselling conversations are also offered where you can explore where you are at with your career development and your hopes.
Career Counselling is offered in a strengths based way. Through your stories, we work together to discuss career hopes, dreams and values. Through conversations, we establish what is important to you. We discuss what brings you to career counselling, what hasn’t been working for you and explore influences and effects of what has been going on in your career journey. Conversations and activities are used that invite reflections and to unpack and remember your strengths, skills, connections, hopes and dreams.
Together, we work out what information you may need to gather, research and explore to support you in your preferred career direction. Personality assessments are offered to gain insight into your preferences and to explore job ideas. You are supported as you explore and research jobs, labour market information and/or courses to study. Current information is provided on developing your resume and you are supported in the updating of your resume. Interview information and skills practice is offered. You are supported as you develop your career action plan.
You may book a single career counselling one hour session ($120) or you can book four one hour sessions as a package ($450).
